Glowing Barn under the Milky Way
I did some very faint light painting inside the barn during this exposure. The light was on the dimmest setting & only lasted a couple of seconds.
The group wanted to get back to the cabin to catch the rest of the Cubs game, but I just had to get in one more shot from a closer perspective, under the milky way.

50 miles from Chicago on a Summer Night
Last night as I was finishing a photo shoot I realized I Finally had a chance to attempt to photograph the milky way with my 6D.. I've had my 6D for almost 6 months & just haven't had the opportunity to give it a try until last night. Ahhhh, Finally!! I took this 30 second exposure right as the red moon was rising in the East.. Can't wait to go somewhere with actual Dark skies so I can see what the 6D can do then. I love this camera.
Twilight Auroras
We drove 113 miles and got here just after sunset, just on time for me to set up and capture the auroras at twilight.

I was a little excited.. for this shot I had my friend hold my NEEWER dimmable LED video light for a few seconds to light p the foreground while the camera took a 10 second exposure.
