These cacti are really cool. Watch out for the little spiky balls on the ground though.. They look fluffy but they will do some painful damage to you if you touch them. They can even kind of move on their own & roll on you, so don't mess with the cholla.
As I was taking this long exposure, a car passed by on the road & the headlights lit up this joshua tree. That worked out pretty well I think.
Just before the flooding.... As we got to the south end of the park we passed rangers that were driving from where we came from, to close the roads due to flooding reports. Those flash floods happen quickly. Always keep an eye on the weather.
